Personalize lets you train a custom character or product from your own reference images and then use it directly in your prompts. Instead of describing a character from scratch every time, you build a reusable identity once—and the AI references that identity every time you generate. You can access Personalize from the Image Tools section in the side navigation panel.

How Personalize works

When you create a personalized character or product, ImagineArt analyzes your uploaded reference images and builds an internal representation of that subject’s visual identity. You can then call that identity into any prompt, either by selecting it from the image panel or by tagging it with @CharacterName directly in your prompt text.

Setting up Personalize

1

Open Personalize

In the side navigation panel, go to Image Tools and click Personalize. This opens the Personalize panel where you can manage and create custom characters or products.
2

Choose what to create

Click Personalize new. You’ll see two options:
  • Create Character — Build a reusable AI identity from photos of a person or character. Upload between 1 and 10 images. Using more images from different angles and lighting conditions gives the AI a richer reference to work with, resulting in more consistent outputs.
  • Create Product — Build a reusable product reference from photos of an object. Useful for brand shoots, product mockups, or e-commerce imagery where a specific item needs to appear consistently.
3

Upload reference images

Upload your reference images (up to 10) for the character or product. For best results:
  • Use images with clear, unobstructed views of the subject
  • Include a variety of angles and lighting conditions
  • Avoid heavy filters or stylization in your reference photos—natural, clear images produce more reliable consistency
  • For characters, include at least one clear front-facing image
Give your character or product a unique name in the Enter Name field. This name is how you’ll reference it in prompts. Click Done when your images are uploaded.
4

Choose a generation mode

When generating with a personalized character or product, select from three modes:
  • Personalize Core — Prioritizes accuracy to your reference images. Use this when fidelity to the original appearance is most important.
  • Personalize Max — Also prioritizes reference accuracy, with additional processing for detailed feature preservation.
  • Personalize Ultra — Prioritizes large, high-resolution output. Best when you need high-quality prints or detailed compositions.
All three modes cost 24 credits per image and support common aspect ratios including 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9, and 9:16.

Use your character or product in a prompt

You have two ways to include your personalized subject in a generation:Option 1 — Add via the image panel: In the Add Image section of the settings panel, click the + button. Your saved characters and products will appear here. Select the one you want to use.Option 2 — Tag in your prompt: Reference your character or product directly in the prompt text using the @ symbol followed by the name you gave it. For example:
@Aria standing in a sunlit Paris café, wearing a navy trench coat, candid street photography style
@ProductBottle on a white marble surface, soft studio lighting, minimal shadows, commercial product shot

Adjust settings and generate

Set your aspect ratio and the number of images to create, then click Create. The AI will generate images featuring your personalized character or product in the scene you described.

Tips for better results

  • Use 4–10 reference images for characters when possible. A wider variety of reference angles significantly improves consistency.
  • Name your characters descriptively — names like ElenaStudio or ProductBottleGlass make it easier to remember which reference to call.
  • Combine with other features — You can use Personalize alongside Image Prompt and Style Reference to further control the output’s composition and aesthetic.
  • Core vs. Ultra — If your output looks slightly off from your reference, try Personalize Core or Personalize Max instead of Ultra, which prioritizes resolution over tight reference fidelity.
Single-image quick personalization is also available. In Image Tools, you can upload a single image directly to use as a quick one-off character reference without creating a named personalization profile.
